On Tuesday Rousseau’s mum was in our neighbourhood ordering his birthday cake at European Bakery, so she dropped by to have tea and deliver a party invitation for Lucy. Rousseau (Lucy’s kitty friend) is turning one year old today. So, yesterday we bought him a card and a little gift (kitty treats). On the way to the party, Lucy and I will pick up the cake, since it’s very close to where we live. I heard that the two little boys (Rousseau’s mum and I are their grandmothers) are very excited about the party. So, I just might have to pick up their favourite ice cream on the way, too! I think Lucy will be getting some of her favourite fishy dog treats instead of cake and ice cream, though!
Thursday 8:20 PM
Well, the party was a roaring success! Rousseau got some great cat toys… and the treats we took, of course. Rousseau had his kitty treats (which he LOVED!) and Lucy had doggy treats, but the humans had cake and ice cream! The cake was beautiful, by the way (good work, Europe Bakery & Deli in downtown POCO).
Lucy really wanted Rousseau to play with her, but he isn’t quite ready for that yet… although he spent the whole time we were there stalking her! He can’t seem to stay away from her… it’s quite funny and cute! Lucy got a gift, too… two lovely balls. She wanted Rousseau to play with them with her, but that was a “no go”! LOL
By the way, if you want a delicious “everyday” cake from Europe Bakery & Deli try the cream puff one! We had it for my son’s 39th birthday! YUMMY! (They will add a message to the cake, if it’s a special occasion.)
