A little insomnia tonight, pretty rare for me, but it could have been the dark chocolate overdose! lol
Anyway I noticed that walking the POCO Trail every day is really interesting. Besides the recent eagle sighting, the fishermen, ducks, dogs and cyclists, there’s the brand new Christmas stocking hanging on a bush. I noticed it on Monday. Tuesday someone had pinned a heart-shaped brooch to the stocking and draped some beads over the branch. But what does it mean? There are people who use the trail and the parks along it as their “home.” Some even live under the bridges and in the woods at times. Beer drinking and drug deals go on, but everyone is always polite to Lucy and me and seems to be having a good time, lots of laughter and camaraderie. Could the stocking mean something to them?
Then there’s the huge pile of dog fur in the middle of the trail, and a few hundred feet further on another pile, this time on the side of the trail. Even looks like the same dog’s fur. What does it mean? Who grooms their dog in the middle of POCO Trail? Or did the dog’s fur just fall off? Ploof! Twice.
Well, now it’s 3:40 AM and I’m getting a little sleepy. Tomorrow I’m taking my camera on my walk with Lucy along the POCO Trail!
